Day 1 AIRPORT - COLOMBO

AM – On Arrival meet our Representative at the Airport and drive to Colombo. City of Colombo is located 32kms away from the airport. This is the capital and commercial city as well as the financial centre of Sri Lanka.

PM- Check-in to your hotel in Colombo (General check in time is 14:00Hrs)
Engage in a Colombo city walking tour with Mark Forbes or with his team

Day 2 COLOMBO - WILPATTU

AM – After breakfast drive to Wilpattu
Wilpattu, the largest national park in Sri Lanka with in land villus (lakes) attract many water birds. It is the domain of the elusive leopards, Elephant, sloth bear, herds of spotted deer, Mangoose and Sambar deer are common

PM – Engage in an evening Safari at Wilpattu National Park
Stay overnight in a camp site in Wilpattu

Day 3 WILPATTU - SIGIRIYA

AM – Engage in a morning Safari at Wilpattu National Park with breakfast packets. On completion drive to Sigiriya
 
PM – Check-in to your hotel in Sigiriya

Day 4 SIGIRIYA - MINNERIYA - SIGIRIYA

AM – After an early breakfast climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.  Sigiriya is a World Heritage Site preserved by UNESCO. This fortress built by King Kasyapa using the Sigiriya Rock, 180m in height with exquisite rock paintings of the “Cloud Damsels” in two sheltered pockets. It takes approx two and half hours for this excursion. It is advisable to do this excursion before the hot sun.

PM – Engage in a Safari to Minneriya National Park which is popular to see the Elephant gathering and the key point of this park is the Minneriya Tank.

Day 5 SIGIRIYA - DAMBULLA - KANDY

AM – Leave for Kandy. En route visit the Golden temple in Dambulla
En route visit Dambulla Rock Cave Temple which has 250steps to climb. This temple called as “Golden Temple of Dambulla”. The caves give shelter for ancient statues and paintings for Lord Buddha and this is the largest protected cave temple complex in Sri Lanka.
If interested visit a Spice Garden in Matale where you can see the well grown spice plantation, touch and smell the Asian spices. You can also purchase the Spices in small and large quantities.

PM – In Kandy witness the Cultural Dance show in Kandy City and then visit the Temple of tooth Relic also known as “Dalada Maligawa”

Day 6 KANDY - PINNAWELA - NUWARA ELIYA

AM - Breakfast and drive to Pinnawela to visit the Elephant Orphanage
This is a very popular location amongst the local and foreign tourists. You can see the milk feeding and Elephant bathing at different times of the day.  
On completion drive to Nuwara Eliya

PM -Nuwara Eliya also called as the “Little England”- This is the hill country side of Sri Lanka. Visit Sita Amman Kovil and walk around the Gregory Lake
Visit a Tea estate and see the functions of a Tea Factory.

Day 7 NUWARA ELIYA - ELLA

AM – Early morning engage in a trek to Horton Plaines National Park, declared a World Heritage Site in July 2010. The Trek is around 8kms with magnificent view.
Drive to Ella

PM – Check-in to your hotel in Ella
Trek to Little Adams Peak which takes approx 30-40 minutes. You will be walking through a tea estate which is located next to the 98 Acres Resort and Spa – boutique hotel

Day 8 ELLA - UDAWALAWA

AM – After breakfast drive to Udawalawa

PM- Engage in a Safari at Udawalawa National Park. This lies on the border of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces, in Sri Lanka and created to provide a sanctuary for wild animals displaced by the construction of the Udawalawe Reservoir on the Walawe River.

Day 9 UDAWALAWA - SINHARAJA

AM – Breakfast and visit the Elephant Transit Home in Udawalawa which is popular to see refuge baby Elephants.
Then leave for Sinharaja

PM – Check in to your hotel / Guest house in Sinharaja

Day 10 SINHARAJA - YALA

AM – After an early breakfast engage in a trek to Sinharaja Forest reserve. This is World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO and a biodiversity hotspot in the world.

PM - Drive to Yala
Visit Katharagama Temple. A pilgrimage town sacred to Buddhist, Hindu, Muslims and indigenous Veddha people of Sri Lanka devoted to the deity of Katharagama(Skanda)where people make rows for success.

Day 11 YALA - BUNDALA - YALA

AM –Early morning drive to Bundala National Park for a Safari with breakfast packets. This park is famous for bird watching. Many endemic and migrant birds could be seen in this National Park which located around 50km away from Yala National Park

PM – Engage in a Safari to Yala National Park which is a second Largest National park in the country and famous for Leopard and Elephant Safaris.

Day 12 YALA - GALLE

AM – After breakfast drive to Galle

PM – Experience the Dutch heritage in the City of Galle -Which has been declared as a World Heritage city by the UNESCO. The Dutch Fort is the highlight of the city which carries a history of the European settlers in Sri Lanka.

Day 13 GALLE - AIRPORT

AM – After breakfast drive to Airport to connect with the departure flight
